Pythagorio is one of the most beautiful seaside villages of Samos. It is located 10 km from Vathi the capital of the island. It is worth visiting the Archaeological Museum of Pythagorio as well as the Eupaleion Trench which according to Herodotus is one of the most important works in the history of engineering and since 1992 has been classified by Unesco as a World Heritage Site. While strolling around Pythagorion at sunset, it is also worth visiting and admiring the statue of the mathematician Pythagoras of Samos which dominates the stone pier of the harbour and being captivated by the magestic colors.
